So, we decided to do a surprise birthday party for Carson this year, 4 months early. His real birthday is a week before Christmas and he has always wanted to do a summer birthday. He will be turning 12 this year so we decided this would be a good year to do it. He has been asking me every year to do a summer birthday, and this year the asking started in May. I kept telling him that I didn't think it was going to happen. He would give me his look of disappointment and walk away. Finally I decided we would surprise him at Snowbird. Here are his friends waiting for him to show up for the BIG SURPRISE!
The plan to get Carson to Snowbird without him being suspicious was to make up a story that David had to meet a guy up there for work reasons. I left early that morning and picked up all his friends and we drove up to Snowbird so could surprise him when he walked in. When he saw all of us standing there, he was confused at first until I said "Surprise, Happy early birthday." He had a huge grin on his face and was still in shock cause he didn't know what to say. All he could do was smile.

He got his own cell phone for his birthday. He was pumped about that.
Opening more gifts.
We did the all day pass at Snowbird. They have these trampolines where you are hooked to a bungee and you can jump really high or do flips like crazy. They also have a zip line, alpine slide, climbing wall, mechanical bull, and the TRAM.
David and I had some fun too. Here we are riding the mechanical bull. It was fun!

This is Carson, and his cousin Laken on the zip line. The funny thing about this birthday is that Carson wanted a summer, warm birthday and we ended up with the coldest day of the summer. It was about 55 degrees at Snowbird that day and when you took the tram to the summit it was a whopping 45 degrees at the top. Regardless of the weather, we had a great time and pulled off a great surprise for Carson.
