5th GraDe PaTriOtIc PrOgrAm
Carson's 5th grade PatRioTic program was today. The title of their program was "We LoVe AmeRiCa."
Here is the handsome face behind all the patriotic songs. This is one of my favorite programs to go and watch. I am very emotional when it comes to patriotism. I feel like kids now a days no longer appreciate what they have and what men and women have gone through to fight for their freedoms. I just want to shake them sometimes. This appreciation that I have comes from not only the thousands upon thousands of soldiers who fight for us now, but I have a great respect for my FaTher and BroTher who have both served our country. My dad who served in Vietnam and my brother who served in Iraq. I love and appreciate them for their service.

Carson had a part in his program. His lines were "Today the FlAg consists of 13 horizontal StriPes, 7 ReD, alternating with 6 WhiTe. The StRiPes represent our 13 original CoLoniEs. The StaRs represent the 50 States of the UniOn."
Did I ever mention how much I love that kid in the red and white stripes? Proud Mom!

Coaching Basketball
Oh what can I say about church ball. We had a great time this year. Our team made it to regions and we played two games at region. We won our first game and lost our second. It was single elimination. Here is Katelyn shooting free throws.

When Boredom sets in Make COOKIES!
So Kylie and I were Extremely bored today, after being in the house for two weeks straight fighting off sickness, we decided we had enough. We were watching a TV show when Kylie turned to me and said "Let's make cookies!" She poured in all the ingredients and she even broke her first egg. She was so excited.
Every great cook needs to taste what they made before they serve it to others, plus who DOESN"T like cookie dough?
She even scooped the dough out onto the cookie sheet. She was having a great time and did not want my help.
