Stud of a Husband RUNS Salt Lake City Marathon-2009

Here is David at the starting line anxiously awaiting the start. We woke up at 4:30 a.m. so we could get him there by the 6:05 start time. We arrived around 5:30 a.m. so he could stretch and loosen up. The kids were such great troopers. They wanted to support their dad.
Getting into the zone!

Racing Number

I think this picture is around mile number 18. He was hurting a little at this point. Still had 8 more miles to go.

This was mile 14.

This was mile 5, you can tell cause he still has a smile on his face!

Here he is approaching the finish line. It was downtown Salt Lake City at the Gateway. His finish time was 3 hours 55 minutes. He came in 1st place in the Clydesdale bracket ,which is anyone over 200 pounds. He came in 49th in his age group. This was a huge time commitment because of training, but we are really proud of him. This was his first marathon and possibly his last. Good Job David!

Corbin's Choir Concert

We had Corbin's choir concert tonight at the school. He did a great job! They sang some fun songs. The did songs from Mamma Mia, The Sound of Music, Grease, Hairspray, and Annie. It was too cute. He does choir not for the singing, but for the ice cream party that they are going to have tomorrow. He is so excited for it. He told me that he was going to do choir next year because he thinks they might have root beer floats or pizza. He is a pretty funny kid.
I couldn't get a decent shot of Corbin either cause the lady sitting in front of me would not hold still. She was rocking and swaying to every single song. Not to mention she had a big head of hair. I got so frustrated that I yelled out HOLD STILL! She didn't listen to me though.

Camping at Zion's

We had a great campout this last weekend. We left on Thursday and arrived to a beautiful Zion's National Park. We set up camp and then pretty much went to bed. We woke up to clouds, clouds, clouds. It was around 30 degrees that morning. We took a hike later that morning and that is when it started to RAIN! I'm not talking a little sprinkle, we are talking a down pour. We finished our hike in the rain and then decided to go back to camp. Anyway, to make a long story short, we ended up going to a movie because it was so cold and wet. We saw Monsters VS. Aliens. It was too fun!
Here we have David and Kylie taking a hike up to Emerald Pools. Kylie was quite the trooper considering the weather and all. I'm glad to say that Saturday was a much nicer day. No rain.

Here are the boys holding up a huge rock.

Our little monkies who climbed as many trees as they could find. Our nephew Laken came along with us. He was covered in tree sap. Kaleb spent alot of time in the tree as a get away I think.

This was our first morning when it was 30 degrees and Kylie decided to come out of the tent buck naked. She said she had to go pee. The cold didn't seem to bother her.

This picture was taken on the trail to Emerald Pools. The boys left us in their dust. They don't have the patience to wait for Kylie so they speed on ahead.

Just one of the many beautiful views at Zion's.

David and I at Emerald Pools.

The kiddies overlooking Emerald Pools. We love spending time together as a family and we love to Camp. Hope to go again soon. Good times, great memories!

Our New Edition

Here is our new edition to our family. This is Maggie. I swore that I would not get another animal, but she is one of Jack's babies and we were unable to sell her so we chose to keep her. She is so cute and she has a sweet personality. Our cat is terrified of her, but hopefully she will get use to her soon. Jack is curious but he keeps his distance. The kids love her and won't ever put her down. She is being held constantly. She is even doing GREAT with her potty training.
