Easter 2010

We had a very laid back and wonderful Easter this year. We were able to watch General Conference and relax all morning and afternoon. I think I was in my pajamas until 4:30 p.m, when I then decided to get dressed because we had Sara and her family coming over for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. We had a great dinner together, I think it was the best meal I have had in a long time. We had ham, scalloped potatoes, salad, and rolls. We then finished it off with desert which was strawberry shortcake. The kids were now ready for the hunt. They all ran out the door and started scrambling for eggs.
Corbin really got in to it by crawling on his knees.

Here is sis with all of her eggs in one basket. I thought you weren't suppose to put all your eggs in one basket.

Kaleb found the ONLY silver egg. All the kids were upset that he got it. I don't know why because there were only jelly beans inside it.

Carson showing off his eggs.

Even though we had a fun time, I must reflect on the true meaning of Easter. My testimony is still growing about Jesus Christ. I know that he died for me and that through The Atonement, I can make it back to my Heavenly Father's presence. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me. I am thankful for all I have been blessed with, especially my amazing family.

Jumping Jacks

I have had one of the most stressful weeks of my life this week and a low day yesterday, when everything is made better by my precious children and the cute things that they do. Kylie knows that she is better at jumping jacks than any of her brothers and here is the proof. Her brothers would do jumping jacks and she would tell them that they were doing it wrong. I think she gets her coordination from her father. What a cutie! I was laughing so hard it put me in a better mood. Thanks kids for helping your mom out.

A Broken Heart

So every Tuesday I babysit a couple of kids in my neighborhood. There is a little boy the same age as Kylie and his little sister who is two. Kylie loves to play with this little boy and she has even told me that she plans on marrying him some day. Well today he decided he did not want to play with her anymore for the day. She came up to me with her sad face and said "Mom, Cameron broke my heart." I asked her what happened and she told me that he wasn't being nice to her and he wouldn't play with her. I told her I was sorry and she said "Mom, I'm serious Cameron broke my heart, feel my chest my heart isn't beeping anymore." I felt her heart beating and I told her it was still beating and that everything would be OK. I gave her a hug and told her I loved her. I wish this would be the only heartbreak she would have to experience, but I know she is in for a lot more. I adore this little girl of mine and her innocence. Love you the most Kylie.
