Kylie's Dance Observation

We put Kylie in a dance class to find out if she liked it or not. It is a beginning class and they don't do dance recitals yet. Instead they just have an observation day for the parents to come in and watch. If she likes it then she will be in a performing group next year.

I was worried about her freezing up because of all the parents that were in the room, but she did an awesome job. She just kept on dancing away.

Getting Ready for Santa

So I thought it was time to move on from Halloween and straight into Christmas. Sunday was the day that we were all feeling like putting up the tree. Kaleb and Carson pulled everything out of the shed while David was at church meetings. We set up the tree and waited for David to come home before we decorated it. It's a tradition that we all help put the ornaments on the tree.

This is Kylie trying to be patient. She was wanting to put the ornaments on so bad, but I made her wait for her daddy to come home.

Here is Kaleb and Jack waiting for the cat to come out from under the tree. Jack was ready to pounce.

FINALLY daddy got home and we were ready to start decorating. Kylie was so excited and she would hang all the ornaments in the same spot. We helped her space them out.

Another tradition is that the star is the last thing put on the tree. Kaleb got the honors this year. I love the feeling of Christmas time. I love sitting in the room with the Christmas tree and turning off all the lights except for the tree. It's such a cozy feeling. I enjoy the time that our family spends together, making memories. I am ready for Santa!
