Kylie loves to play and pretend. She is always wanting to play house or doctor or something along those lines. The other day she was begging me to play with her so I set all of my other "duties" aside and played with my little girl almost all day. First she wanted to play doctor. She decided that I was to be the doctor this time and that I needed to figure out what was going on with her. I started my exam and checked her throat and her ears, when I came across a massive ear infection ( a pretend one). I told her she would have to be on medicine for that, so I proceeded to write her a prescription. She then asked where she could pick up her medicine. I then transformed from Doctor to Pharmacist in a blink of an eye. She brought me her prescription and I filled it for her. I used an empty prescription bottle and put skittles inside. She thought that was pretty cool. We finished playing doctor/pharmacy and it was time for lunch. I asked her what she wanted for lunch and she began to tell me that I would now be her waitress and take her order. So I agreed to play another one of her games and take her order on a little pad of paper. She ordered a corn dog with chips and a Sprite. I was surprised I actually had all of that, so I made her lunch and served it to her. She was very kind and thanked me, but I just realized that I never got paid. She skipped out on the bill. Next it was time for make up of course. She said, mom I want to have a make up day. She is always trying to get into my make up so I decided I would let her play in some make up that we had from Halloween. As you can see from the pictures, she turned out absolutely gorgeous! I had a fun time with my Kylie and it made me realize that I need to set aside my other "duties" a little more often and just enjoy my kids while they are still at home. Thanks for your wonderful imagination Kylie. You are the greatest!

Half Marathon Training
While watching The Biggest Loser one day, they were challenged to run a full marathon. As I watched that episode I felt motivated to do something similar. I figured that if the people on the biggest loser could do it, than so could I. I started talking to David about doing at least a half marathon, and next thing I know I have a training schedule in my hand. He also printed one off for Kaleb and Carson. They agreed to run the half marathon with me, and David is running the full marathon. We are running 4 days a week. We started out with lower mileage, around 2 to 4 miles each day and now we are up to anywhere from 5 to 10 miles each day. There are days where I just want to give up, but I just keep fighting through the pain, or the cold, or my attitude. I have been very impressed with the boys. They have been doing an amazing job. They help keep me motivated. This running has been very time consuming, but it has been well worth it for me. Not only do I feel better and have more energy, but I am seeing some good changes in the way my body looks. My calf's are so hard with muscle and I have lost inches off my mid section. I am feeling good. This just makes me think that I am going to have to keep this up even after the marathon is over. We are now in count down mode for this marathon. We only have 3 more weeks of training until the big day is here. I am a little nervous, but I know that I can do this. I will have pictures to come, I hope. Oh yeah, I also gave up soda for my training and I have been off of it for 3 months now. I think I have craved it almost every day though. I am way excited and nervous for the actual marathon to come, but I know that my boys and David will start out with me and that with give me the momentum that I need. Thanks for running with me boys! I love you all the most.
